How the Canadian Comedy Cartel operates

The Canadian Comedy Cartel (the CCC) is based in Montreal, Quebec, but is Canada wide. This comedy collective pulls together independent shows or comedy clubs under one flag to exploit economies of scale. Making some expenses cheaper for the producer (ex; ticket processing, social media presence, equipment rentals, etc) while at the same time forging new strengths (talent discovery, mailing lists, equipment, etc).

We know how important creative control is to producers, so we let producers stay completely independent. We believe the producer is the soul of the production which defines the quality of the show.

For the CCC this means that producers keep running the comedy shows how they want, keep booking comedians they want, monthly or weekly shows, etc. Our only goal is to grow the collective while improving the quality of all of our shows, in most cases the CCC does not even ask for payment for the help we offer.
